makeup

Winter is here and that means Christmas parties. While I usually hate the Christmas season, my favorite part by far is getting dressed up to go out with friends. Don’t get me wrong I love doing makeup to go out but I am so not good at it and like to stick with the normal foundation, mascara, blush, etc. Have you seen all those girls that do that amazingly good winged eyeliner? wow every time i see that it truly makes me jealous. That stuff is so hard to do. You get one side so good and creased gorgeously and then you try the other side and it looks good up close while your doing it then you back up from the mirror and it looks like you did it blind folded. Every single time I try it happens like that, I don’t understand how girls can get them so good on each side. And then to add on top of the crazy skill people add crazy little Christmas drawings hanging off them or dangling like Santa Clause or Elves.  So This post is going to be a list of some of my favorite looks and how techniques to make your winter parties heat up.

Fake eyelashes have been the most in trend I’ve seen in a long time to do with makeup besides highlighting you cheek bones.I absolutely love fake eye lashes and am completely obsessed with them. I wear them everyday that i go out or just casual day doing makeup. My mom once told me “once you start wearing them you’ll never be able to stop wearing them” and it is completely true. When ever I don’t wear them i feel like I look like a little boy with no eyelashes. They are so easy to put on and apply once you get the hang of it and to where you like it. They give that full lash look with the extra volume and make your eyelashes super long. Also for a big plus they make your natural eyelashes grow and they can be re-use able if you take care of them the right way. Its only a few simple steps on how to apply them.

  1. take the strip off the plastic container
  2. round them out with your fingers so there is a more natural shape and they are flimsier
  3. take your little tube of glue and apply a small little strip of glue along the line of the lash (make sure its not a lot of glue because the eyelash wont stick otherwise)
  4. blow on the lash for 30 seconds to make the eyelash glue sticky
  5. apply the lash on top of your natural lashes as close to the base of the natural lash as you can. Some use tweezers to help them get it close but for me my fingers do just fine.
  6. Now once you get them on you and you’ve let them dry a little in the position you want you, will need to blend in your natural eyelashes so you can put a little bit of mascara to cover any blemishes ( not so much mascara because then it would flake off on your face and bleed black under your eyes AND THAT’S THE WORST)
