High School. My mind fills when I hear, or think about these two words. Truly the best and worst times of my life. I’ve learned more about myself and more about others than any other time in my life.

High school, I believe, is the greatest learning experience ever, not necessarily academically either. Each day I feel like nothing ever changed, but then I look back just to the start of high school, in 9th or 10th grade and nothing is even close to the same.

High school has taught me what real friends are and what temporary friends are. I used to care so much about what others thought about me, but that was ruining me. If there’s one thing I would suggest and preach about high school, is to simply enjoy it.

High school should be a positive experience, with rewarding challenges. Don’t commit, work hard, be involved, don’t think too much about the little things, or even the big things because over thinking will damage you.

High school should be an adventure. Go to the parties, but be smart about it. Try new things and live the high school life. Make memories with old friends and with new ones. Step out of your comfort zone every chance that you get. Be thankful and love every person that has stepped into your life.

High school should be fun and you can control that. Be crazy for once but work towards your goals. That’s what I have learned, as I reflect on my experience and count down to the day I walk with every person and think about the memories they gave me. Love the experiences you’ve gone through and don’t regret them.
