If you know me, you would know that I love shoes. I love Vans, Converse, shoes that I find at thrift stores, etc. I am not into buying expensive shoes because I’ve never owned a pair that I don’t destroy.
And if you know me, you would know that I hate the look of brand new shoes. I love seeing a messy shoe because I think that they have a story behind them. You had to go through something to get them to look like that.
All my shoes look like I’ve had them for years. I get them with the intention of messing them up. Every pair of shoes has their own story. Just like earning the holes in your jeans, you earn the dirt on your shoes.
My shoes go on camping trips, road trips, vacations, hikes, walks, etc. etc. etc. A clean shoes shows no sign of adventure. I don’t like to worry about cleaning them, making sure they always look brand new. And maybe I’m the only one with that perspective.
